2023 Catalog Cover Proposal
This cover proposal continues the sci-fi style from the previous year, drawing inspiration for the overall concept of the space station from the original design of a hand tool socket. I deliberately used Earth and the Moon to illustrate the vastness of space and the varying brightness of celestial bodies. The grand space station is contrasted with other spaceships to create a more striking size comparison.
By the way, this finished piece was completed in 2024, as it wasn't selected during the proposal stage due to insufficient completion at the time. Although this work shows significant improvement in composition, detail handling, lighting, and design compared to the 2021 cover, it already showcases the extent of my capabilities.🙂
此封面提案延續前一年度的科幻風格，並以手工具套筒的原始造型為基礎來發想太空站的整體概念。我刻意利用地球和月亮來處理與不同亮度的星體在太空浩瀚的遠近關係。而大太空站則與其他太空船來呈現出更有震撼的尺寸對比。
順帶一提，這個完成品是在2024年才完成，因為當時在提案時的完成度不夠而落選。雖然本作對比2021年的封面，在構圖、細節處理、光影處理及造型設定上有明顯的進步，但這已經是各位能看到的我能力的極限了。🙂
